Portugal continues to make the list of top European destinations year over year for the past decade. The country’s popularity is with good reason too: picturesque beaches, affordable food and drinks, charming people, good wine, lots of sun and surf, and a grand history.

Listing Paris as your favourite city in the world is a little cliché. Hear me out. Prior to my first stay in the City of Lights, I had little interest in visiting Paris.
